The Swan - Bayswater

Lovingly refurbished and re-opened in 2018, The Swan is a historic London pub that actually dates back several centuries. Records trace The Swan back to 1721 - the first date written in the licensed victualler's register - but it's widely believed to have been an inn for much longer.

A traditional coaching inn, The Swan is reputed to have been the final drinking place for the victims of the Gibbet at Tyburn Gallows - now known as Marble Arch. Notorious highwayman Claude Duval, active on the London to Uxbridge road, is also alleged to have had his final drink in our pub before being hanged at Tyburn in 1670.

Archie and his pals have not visited here just yet!
They’ve only got little legs so it’s going to take a while to visit all the dog friendly venues they’ve found.

Unfortunately it's only their courtyard and bar that are dog-friendly, the restaurant isn't.

This is our local pub and we love going here as they are so welcoming and dog friendly! Dogs welcome in the bar/ restaurant area and outside in their garden/ courtyard too. The humans say they do really good roast dinners and yummy desserts!

Loved it here! They took us in last minute when we were let down by our booking with Brindisa 2 doors down. We were even allowed to sit indoors. The humans loved their cocktails and food - Turkish twist on brunch! The chefs even made me my own pup friendly bacon and eggs. I saw they offered a fellow pup a doggy bed to use which is a nice touch but I preferred to use my own bag for a post brunch nap.

Well behaved doggos on leads are welcome inside this festive event! It gets a bit busy so I stayed mostly in my bag but I enjoyed stealing some of the humans bratwurst and even got my own puppacino from the bar!
