The Spread Eagle

Wandsworth | Pub

The Spread Eagle is a local pub in an impressive setting where you can get drinks and food every day, a smashing Sunday Roast and even stay the night.

The pub has been around since the 1800s and still has the feel of a Victorian gin palace with many of the original features restored.

Dogs are welcome throughout the pub and in all of the 21 bedrooms in the hotel next door which are tastefully decorated and spacious.

We enjoyed a hearty Sunday Roast by the fire on a cold January day after a walk in nearby Wandsworth Park.

Archie and Nacho

Gleaning inspiration from her history, this classic Victorian pub & hotel stands proudly in the very heart of Wandsworth, South West London and is triumphantly reminiscent of the 18th century public houses of her past. A haven for foodies, the menu includes pub classics which are joyfully redolent of British dishes served in days gone by.

Rude, bad mannered staff. Would never go there again.

Unfortunately it's only their courtyard and bar that are dog-friendly, the restaurant isn't.
