The Drapers Arms
Islington | Pub
The Drapers Arms is a wonderful pub with an indoors area and beer garden at the back (dogs are allowed everywhere). The staff are very friendly and immediately gave me a water bowl, even before my human companions got their drinks. The fine Saturday lunchtime we visited, we sat at an indoors table as there was an event on at the picturesque beer garden. However in the past I have taken my humans to sit out there as well as other seats within the pub - including by the live fireside in winter (but the humans didn't want me to get too close!). The decor is also very nice with things humans appreciate such as bookcases, pictures and trinkets. The menu varies slightly depending on which day and seasonal ingredients, but they include Sunday roasts for a Sunday, and various lunch/dinner options, and fresh warm bread/butter side. You can look at the website to make a booking (definitely recommended on a Sunday as it gets busy) and look at the latest menus: http://www.thedrapersarms.com/ I chose a fish dish and a burger dish for my humans, which they agreed was a very tasty and good choice. I tried some of their chips so I can concur that they were delish.

Unfortunately it's only their courtyard and bar that are dog-friendly, the restaurant isn't.

This is our local pub and we love going here as they are so welcoming and dog friendly! Dogs welcome in the bar/ restaurant area and outside in their garden/ courtyard too. The humans say they do really good roast dinners and yummy desserts!

Loved it here! They took us in last minute when we were let down by our booking with Brindisa 2 doors down. We were even allowed to sit indoors. The humans loved their cocktails and food - Turkish twist on brunch! The chefs even made me my own pup friendly bacon and eggs. I saw they offered a fellow pup a doggy bed to use which is a nice touch but I preferred to use my own bag for a post brunch nap.

Well behaved doggos on leads are welcome inside this festive event! It gets a bit busy so I stayed mostly in my bag but I enjoyed stealing some of the humans bratwurst and even got my own puppacino from the bar!

Great for a rest in after a stroll in Green park. Lots of big TVs for the humans to watch live sports.

The humans said the pizza here was super tasty, but wouldn’t let me try any! I got a nice cosy spot for my bag under the table for a post-walk nap. Ladywell fields is a couple minutes walk away for a pre/post meal walkies.

A great place to stop for a rest after a walk at Ladywell fields. Lots of yummy fresh pastries, breads, sandwiches to try and coffee to wake the human up on those early walks! Mumma says they also do the most amazing french cakes and patisseries!
