Ong Ong Buns

Camden | Cafe

There is a lot of food on offer in Seven Dials Market but our favourite has to be Ong Ong Buns.

These light, fluffy milk bread buns are made to order in minutes and are filled with goodness like garlic cream cheese, char siu pork and chicken curry. They also have a vegan kimchi option and a sweet version with coconut custard filling.

The setting is street food style so dogs are welcome in Seven Dials Market but there are no facilities for us so you will need to bring water and treats. The humans say it's worth the visit and we even forgive them for naming the restaurant after a cat!

"

Ong Ong Buns is a Chinese bakery run by the husband-and-wife team: Icy Mo from Malaysia and Aaron Mo from London and Hong Kong. We‘re famous for forcing people to pronounce the Malay word “kuih,” generating a mass craze for cookies during Lunar New Year, creating original baked goods like the moreish “Ong Ong Nom,“ and publishing irrelevant stories about our cats Momo, Pang Pang and Ong Ong.

Unfortunately it's only their courtyard and bar that are dog-friendly, the restaurant isn't.

This is our local pub and we love going here as they are so welcoming and dog friendly! Dogs welcome in the bar/ restaurant area and outside in their garden/ courtyard too. The humans say they do really good roast dinners and yummy desserts!

Loved it here! They took us in last minute when we were let down by our booking with Brindisa 2 doors down. We were even allowed to sit indoors. The humans loved their cocktails and food - Turkish twist on brunch! The chefs even made me my own pup friendly bacon and eggs. I saw they offered a fellow pup a doggy bed to use which is a nice touch but I preferred to use my own bag for a post brunch nap.

Well behaved doggos on leads are welcome inside this festive event! It gets a bit busy so I stayed mostly in my bag but I enjoyed stealing some of the humans bratwurst and even got my own puppacino from the bar!

Great for a rest in after a stroll in Green park. Lots of big TVs for the humans to watch live sports.

The humans said the pizza here was super tasty, but wouldn’t let me try any! I got a nice cosy spot for my bag under the table for a post-walk nap. Ladywell fields is a couple minutes walk away for a pre/post meal walkies.

A great place to stop for a rest after a walk at Ladywell fields. Lots of yummy fresh pastries, breads, sandwiches to try and coffee to wake the human up on those early walks! Mumma says they also do the most amazing french cakes and patisseries!
