My humans and I are already big fans of Mercato Metropolitano in Elephant & Castle so we had all been looking forward to visiting their latest venture in Mayfair.
This location, as you would expect is a little bit posher and is in what used to be St.Mark's church. Many of the original features of the church are still there, including stained glass windows and the altar but there now instead of a choir you will find a cocktail bar. The pews have been replaced by tables from which you can enjoy food and drink from the various independent companies who are spread over the ground floor, balcony and vault in the old crypt.
The humans can enjoy pizza, bao buns, steak, ice cream and more or just get a coffee and enjoy it on the spacious roof terrace. There is also a delicatessen, so they can take something home for later.
There is plenty of room for dogs of all sizes and we are very welcome everywhere. It is worth mentioning that it gets very warm inside the church and there is no air conditioning but we found a shady spot on the roof. I also didn't find any water bowls for us so make sure to take your own.
