E5 Bakehouse

Hackney | Cafe

This Artisan bakery is within a row of railway arches in East London, along with several other businesses including cafes. They specialise in sourdough bread which is baked on site and the bakery is in full view so you can watch them at work. As you can imagine it smells great! The cafe area is small and gets very busy with everyone coming in to buy their bread but there was enough room for me under the table. There are also a few tables outside. The cafe serves breakfast, brunch and lunch for the humans plus lots of delicious and apparently irresistible cakes. Archie

Welcome to e5 Bakehouse: An independent, organic bakery in a spruced up railway arch beneath London fields Station. Everything we bake, make or sell embodies our passion for artisan methods, organic local products and delicious food. Our breads are entirely hand-crafted, baked daily at sunrise by our team of bakers. We stone mill onsite and source other flours from local mills. Our bakery is home to a small, committed group of bakers, chefs and baristas, and we do our best to promote the work of local artists and entrepreneurs. It is our belief that to bake beautiful and nutritious sourdough loaves, requires a clear conscience and a great deal of respect and care for our leaven- the life of our sourdough.

This is our local pub and we love going here as they are so welcoming and dog friendly! Dogs welcome in the bar/ restaurant area and outside in their garden/ courtyard too. The humans say they do really good roast dinners and yummy desserts!

Loved it here! They took us in last minute when we were let down by our booking with Brindisa 2 doors down. We were even allowed to sit indoors. The humans loved their cocktails and food - Turkish twist on brunch! The chefs even made me my own pup friendly bacon and eggs. I saw they offered a fellow pup a doggy bed to use which is a nice touch but I preferred to use my own bag for a post brunch nap.

Well behaved doggos on leads are welcome inside this festive event! It gets a bit busy so I stayed mostly in my bag but I enjoyed stealing some of the humans bratwurst and even got my own puppacino from the bar!

Great for a rest in after a stroll in Green park. Lots of big TVs for the humans to watch live sports.

The humans said the pizza here was super tasty, but wouldn’t let me try any! I got a nice cosy spot for my bag under the table for a post-walk nap. Ladywell fields is a couple minutes walk away for a pre/post meal walkies.

A great place to stop for a rest after a walk at Ladywell fields. Lots of yummy fresh pastries, breads, sandwiches to try and coffee to wake the human up on those early walks! Mumma says they also do the most amazing french cakes and patisseries!

Great place for the meat lovers! I got cuddles and my own bowl of water. Mumma and her friends got their paws very messy with all the bbq food, apparently not suitable for pups though!
