Duke's Head
Wandsworth | Pub
When we lived in Putney, The Duke's Head was one of our favourite locals so we were pleased to discover it's still just as good today.
The pub has a bar area where pooches are always welcome and a restaurant where we are welcome on quieter weekdays.
The menu includes some pub classics with some more special dishes like guinea fowl kiev and venison steak. The rabbit and pheasant scotch egg is a real treat!
We like to go for a stroll along the river whenever we are in Putney and see if we can spot some of our old pals.

"
A grand Victorian grade II listed building that has watched over the River Thames in Putney for nearly 150 years. Sitting at the start of the Oxford and Cambridge University Boat Race, she has enjoyed this uniquely British battle of the oars for over a Century.
With bright, riverside views the versatile private hire spaces within the pub are ideal for drinks, birthday parties, sit down meals and family gatherings. Whether you’re looking for a venue to host your wedding, a corporate meeting or simply get together with friends to enjoy the Putney riverside views, the Dukes Head ticks every box.

Rude, bad mannered staff. Would never go there again.

Unfortunately it's only their courtyard and bar that are dog-friendly, the restaurant isn't.
