Cookies and Scream
Islington | Cafe
It's called Cookies And Scream and lies on Holloway Road - which is not somewhere you might necessarily venture, except for the fact that this place is entirely vegan - dairy, egg, wheat and gluten free. If your humans like all manner of chocolatey cakey/cookie goodness - but struggle to find vegan options, then Cookies And Scream is worth a visit. The shop is small and cozy, perfect if you find yourself in the neighbourhood and need a little rest. They are super dog friendly - and happily allowed all three of us inside with our huMum. They have water available and free doggy cookies which is good because it would be no fun just watching our human eating snacks! We visited on a chilly November day when we were wandering the area and were feeling in need of warming up. We were met with lots of cuddles and couldn't be made to feel more welcome. Our human chose an Ewok Cookie Bar - as she thinks Bouche looks like an Ewok, so it seemed appropriate! We snagged the last doggy cookie which was big enough to share. We all happily munched on our snacks and warmed up before venturing out into the cold again. If you're in the Holloway/Highbury area and need a pitstop then Cookies And Scream will welcome you with open paws. There are also several little parks nearby to burn off all the calories after. We particularly liked St Mary Magdelene's Churchyard which is full of squirrels.

Unfortunately it's only their courtyard and bar that are dog-friendly, the restaurant isn't.

This is our local pub and we love going here as they are so welcoming and dog friendly! Dogs welcome in the bar/ restaurant area and outside in their garden/ courtyard too. The humans say they do really good roast dinners and yummy desserts!

Loved it here! They took us in last minute when we were let down by our booking with Brindisa 2 doors down. We were even allowed to sit indoors. The humans loved their cocktails and food - Turkish twist on brunch! The chefs even made me my own pup friendly bacon and eggs. I saw they offered a fellow pup a doggy bed to use which is a nice touch but I preferred to use my own bag for a post brunch nap.

Well behaved doggos on leads are welcome inside this festive event! It gets a bit busy so I stayed mostly in my bag but I enjoyed stealing some of the humans bratwurst and even got my own puppacino from the bar!
