The Old Ivy House
An authentic and atmospheric North London pub, The Old Ivy House is one of Clerkenwell’s most characterful, convivial hangouts - perfect for lingering over dinner and drinks with friends. With the pub close to Smithfield Market, fine, fresh produce is guaranteed here - and the same goes for the award-winning ales and lagers supplied by Britain’s oldest brewer, Shepherd Neame. Food is available all day from an extensive range of superb-value menus which combine the best of British and Italian cuisine, and on Mondays, all main courses and pub classics are half price. There’s also a lazy late brunch served from noon every Sunday, and of course, a signature Sunday roast that rivals anything in the area. It all awaits, just a short walk from the Barbican Arts Centre, Sadler's Wells Theatre, the Angel Islington and City University. Whether you live locally or you’re out exploring North London’s tourist attractions, The Old Ivy House is one Clerkenwell pub where you can truly feel at home.

Archie and his pals have not visited here just yet!
They’ve only got little legs so it’s going to take a while to visit all the dog friendly venues they’ve found.
If you've been here why not let Archie know what it's like. Drop him a message via the Tell Us button and we can share your review here.

Rude, bad mannered staff. Would never go there again.

Unfortunately it's only their courtyard and bar that are dog-friendly, the restaurant isn't.

This is our local pub and we love going here as they are so welcoming and dog friendly! Dogs welcome in the bar/ restaurant area and outside in their garden/ courtyard too. The humans say they do really good roast dinners and yummy desserts!

Loved it here! They took us in last minute when we were let down by our booking with Brindisa 2 doors down. We were even allowed to sit indoors. The humans loved their cocktails and food - Turkish twist on brunch! The chefs even made me my own pup friendly bacon and eggs. I saw they offered a fellow pup a doggy bed to use which is a nice touch but I preferred to use my own bag for a post brunch nap.

Well behaved doggos on leads are welcome inside this festive event! It gets a bit busy so I stayed mostly in my bag but I enjoyed stealing some of the humans bratwurst and even got my own puppacino from the bar!
