The White Swan is a traditional free house right on the banks of the River Thames in Twickenham. The pub dates back to the 17th century. You can see us in the Samuel Scott print, dated 1760, that hangs above the fire in the bar. The pub is made up of two rooms, a terrace-balcony and a garden right on the riverbank. Inside we have about 12 tables of various shapes and sizes, a couple of window seats and a few stools at the bar. Its a very cosy pub in winter, especially when we light the fires. In summer we open the doors to the balcony and put up sunshades in the garden. Sometimes, at high tide, the garden is IN the river but never for long. Everyone who works here knows what its like to wade through the water with a few plates or glasses in hand.
Archie and his pals have not visited here just yet! They’ve only got little legs so it’s going to take a while to visit all the dog friendly venues they’ve found. If you've been here why not let Archie know what it's like. Drop him a message via the Tell Us button and we can share your review here.
Tell us more: Atmospheric old munitions factory turned dining room and terrace pub serving cask ales. Very welcoming for our four legged friends, offering water bowls and biscuits. Doggos are allowed in the large but cosy bar area and on the terrace.
Loved visiting the bluebird yesterday with my hoomans. I even received a biscuit for being a good boy
Beautiful inside, but a little bit narrow. Nice and various menu of delicious sweet things, friendly stuff
Big shady huts and a huge amount of outdoor space. Bowls for doggie water. Just glorious!
Very good in here, staff were absolutely fab with Maui and gave us plenty of water and a free treat/biscuit when he arrived. They were very conscious of him by the table when they brought our order (which was really good) and several staff members stopped to fuss him and say hello, he had a great time!
The Manor Arms has had a huge refurbishment and looks like an upmarket cocktail bar inside! The Sunday roasts are more relaxed and delicious. Dogs are welcome inside and out but outside is definitely the best. The garden is a sun trap but there's lots of coverings for shady spots. For winter, there's a log burner and overhead heating. The staff loved meeting Harry and bought him some water in a bowl. Harry met a couple of large huskys there so it's great for dogs of all sizes!
A true gem of Little Venice. Nestled in the Clifton Nurseries, take a tour of the flowers, plants and small gardening shops while you wait to get seated in the conservatory or terrace for tea, lunch or brunch. Be sure to reserve, it's quite a popular spot in the neighbourhood!
A lovely old pub with lots of character; dogs are warmly welcomed inside and at the dinner table! Water and biscuits are also available.
Dogs are welcome indoors and out! Water bowls are also available from some vendors.
Be aware that loud music in the outdoor bar area can be too much for some dogs.
Local to us, great cocktails, lunch/dinner, outside sitting
Delicious homemade Italian food, outside seating and full dog friendly
We returned this week to our favourite gastro pub in Sheen, tucked away in Temple Sheen the Victoria is a gastro pub with rooms and a pretty sheltered garden. They are dog friendly in the bar area and garden with a super menu by Paul Merrett. Dog water bowls available and often treats on the bar for hungry pups! Walkies afterwards on Sheen Common or Richmond Park
