Explore Dog Friendly Kingston

Kingston upon Thames is an ancient market town in South West London with a large shopping area, riverside restaurants and easy access to two Royal Parks. Kingston has a plethora of dog friendly pubs and a few restaurants.

It is also our home town so we'd like to share with you some of our favourite things to do!

Start your day in Kingston with a hearty breakfast at Poor Boys on Kingston riverside. This super friendly place serves Louisiana comfort food and all four legged foodies are welcome.

We are very lucky to have the top 2 of London's largest Royal Parks on our doorstep. Richmond Park really does have something for everypawdy! There are acres and acres of open green space, wooded areas and water so it's perfect for that pre or post breakfast walk.

To the south of the borough in Hampton Court, we also have Bushy Park which is a smaller version of Richmond Park but still an impressive 1000 acres. Both parks have wild deer roaming freely.

Kingston Riverside is a great place to stroll along and watch the comings and goings on the Thames. It's also lined with some fantastic places to eat. We doggies are welcome outside all the restaurants and there are a few places that welcome us inside too.

Our favourite riverside pub is The Ram which has a great outside area facing the river (pictured above).

While we are talking about the river, there are also adventures to be had on the water itself.

From Kingston Riverside, you can hire a GoBoat and spend a couple of hours with your pals sailing towards Hampton Court Palace or Teddington.

Check out our GoBoat blog for full details.

If you need to restock on treats during your Kingston adventure then you will find a huge selection at Woofs a Daisy. They have everything from ByBenji to W'Zis and a fabulous range of raw treats and chews too.

You can also persuade your human that you need a new toy or even a collar and lead from Reg & Bob, which are the best for adventurous pups.

In North Kingston and only a short stroll from Richmond Park you will find numerous great pubs. We have 2 personal favourites, starting with The Black Horse.

This pub has an amazing outside space, which is now covered and has a pizza oven! Inside, you will find a large bar with a welcoming fire for winter days and always friendly staff.

They have a seasonal menu for humans and a dog bar where we can help ourselves to water and treats.

Tucked away on a residential street in North Kingston you will find The Canbury Arms and it is well worth seeking out.

The pub is beautifully decorated and has a fabulous courtyard space with most tables covered. The staff here are dog crazy and will all want to say hello to you but the best thing is the food!

The food at The Canbury is more like a Michelin starred restaurant than a pub and if you are lucky your humans will share some with you. We highly recommend trying a Sunday roast here.

We really hope to see you in our neighbourhood soon and if you do try any of our recommendations, don't forget to take photos and tag us @the4leggedfoodies.
