A Round of Applause for Dog Friendly Clapham

Updated: Apr 7, 2022

Clapham really does have something for everybody and their pooches too!

It surrounds the huge green space which is Clapham Common and has fantastic transport links of 3 tubes, London Overground, buses galore and the busiest rail station in Europe - Clapham Junction!

Four Legged Foodies in search of refreshments don't even need to leave the Common because there is a pub right in the middle of it.
The Windmill is a fabulous, dog friendly pub serving great food.

The pub has a large outdoor space with lots of seating and dogs are welcome everywhere, including in the hotel rooms.

If you are lucky, you will meet resident dog Max who will share his treats with you.

Between the south side of the Common and Clapham High Street you will find Clapham Old Town where you will be spoilt for choice for perfect pooch friendly places.
Pop into Over Under for a coffee and cake, brunch or lunch.

It's the perfect place to catch up with a pal while the humans stuff their faces with delicious offerings like this stack of blueberry pancakes!

Another great place for brunch in Old Town is Common. Not to be confused with the actual Common, this is a beautiful café serving food all day and four legged foodies are very welcome.
In the evening, the café turns into a wine bar serving small plates and ....wine (obvs)!

There is also a shop selling lots of lovely gifts and goodies where we spied some tasty looking treats to take home.

Megan's is one of our all time favourites and Clapham is home to not one but two of these super dog friendly restaurants. You will find one in Old Town and their Terrace on Clapham Common.

Megan's are not just dog friendly, they are dog crazy! All four legged foodies will be treated to Pooch and Mutt snacks and their own bed.

Just check out their Instagram feed to see how much they love us!

Meanwhile two legged foodies can enjoy food from sunny places that tastes even better than it looks!

After your weekend walkies on the Common, cross over the High Street and you'll find another dog friendly Clapham gem The Little Orange Door.
The Little Door venues are designed to make you feel like you're in your own home but with a lot more food, alcohol and fun!

You can join your humans for cocktails in the evenings or for bottomless brunch at the weekends.

There's also an outside terrace.
