It was whilst completing an interior design scheme of works for clients in London in late 2008 that the seed was set for Hugo & Otto. Downtime for her clients was escaping out of London to the country to wind down and just walk in the fields with their 2 Pointers who loved nothing more than walking for hours through the muddy fields and back to warm comfortable home, but not to their dog beds which after a few washes turned to lumpy rags. Back in 2008 the choice of practical dog beds in England was a hard plastic mould oval bed with a cushion at the bottom and so Caroline commissioned an upholsterer with memory foam interiors and removable washable covers and spares for those wash days. And so slowly the seed was set to start a Company all about dogs.
