We’re a small group who share a passion for great food and drink along with enjoying time with friends, colleagues and family. We’ve had lots of fun searching for fabulous products to create our food and drinks menus and are very honoured to have recently been listed as the Top Steakhouse in London (2019) by Steak Society.

Founders Celine and Christopher Thompson waved goodbye to their corporate jobs and set to work creating Jefferson’s. Their aim was to develop amazing recipes served in a delightful environment where design and architecture complimented the very best natural ingredients they could find. A visible kitchen was to be central to the offering to ensure delicious small batches of ice cream could be made fresh daily, creating every day moments of joy.

Although primarily an adult environment, as most pubs are, well behaved children are allowed and we offer a children's menu too. We just ask that the kids leave by 7pm, ‘coz we feel that The Kennington turns into a more adult space after that and us adults can't always be trusted to be on our best behaviour!
We are also proud to be a dog friendly pub, so it goes without saying that well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome!
The Green Room is a lofty single-storey pavilion surrounded by a beautiful garden just behind the National Theatre. Designed by Benjamin Barfield Marks, the timber framed contemporary space won the top award in the temporary category of the New London Architecture Awards in 2015. A large open-air neighbourhood garden is surrounded by aromatic homegrown herbs for our chefs and bartenders to work with. The menu will be guided by sustainability, making as much as possible in-house.
We are a small, family run restaurant dedicated to providing incredible food at incredible prices. Our set menu boasts a variety of sensational dishes built around fresh, seasonal produce and has customers coming back on a daily basis. Our à la carte menu is a favourite with our regulars, the media crowd and tourists alike. We also welcome well-behaved dogs so please don't hesitate to bring your canine friends in! Italian food has been served at Forty Dean Street for more than 17 years, so we like to think there’s nothing we haven’t mastered. So pop in for an Aperol Spritz!
The pub was founded in 1846 and it began its life as the Bedford Arms. Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again!
Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! We are lucky enough to be able to wind back our roof in the conservatory for those long summer lunches too.
Alongside our a la carte menu we have a bar snack menu that not only runs all day, everyday but also contains hearty pub classics. Roasts run all day on a Sunday and we guarantee to make sure you will always have ample spuds, gravy and yorkies!
